MSW ADMISSIONS FALL 2013: Upcoming Dates and Deadlines

MSW Program Admissions Application Information

Please note: The MSW Program application process involves the submission of a two part application:

  • FIRST-  SFSU Apply online through CSU Mentor (Graduate Studies)
  • SECOND- Apply to the MSW Program*

*Upon completion of the CSU Mentor application, the applicant should complete the MSW Program Application (located in Admissions section on side menu). Incomplete or late applications and supporting documents will not be accepted.

Admissions to SFSU through CSU Mentor begins – Monday, October 1, 2012. For detailed information go to SFSU Graduate Studieswww.sfsu.edu/~gradstdy (Domestic Admissions)

CSU Mentor Admission Deadline – Saturday, December 15, 2012 before 11:59PM. Upon completion of applicant's CSU Mentor online application, applicant will receive an e–mail from Graduate Studies and will be provided a link to the School of Social Work Masters of Social Work (MSW) application.

Deadline to submit a completed MSW Application and all other required supplemental supporting documents: Saturday, December 15, 2012, postmarked before 11:59PM.

A complete packet consists of: completed MSW Application with transcripts, three original Letters of Reference and Verification Letter(s) of Employment, submitted in separate envelopes sealed and signed across the envelope flap by the recommender. The complete packet must be submitted and postmarked by the above due date. Hand delivered document packets to the School must be received before 4:00 pm on Friday, December 14, 2012. Do not slip envelopes containing these documents under the School of Social Work office door (HSS 227) as they will not be accepted.

Deadline to submit Child Welfare Title IV–E Application- Friday, December 14, 2012, postmarked before 11:59PM.

Summer 2013 PPSC Post–MSW application deadline - Monday, April 8, 2013.  Applications will be available in February 2013.

 

After you have completed the CSU Mentor application to San Francisco State University, please follow the steps below to complete the School of Social Work Application to the MSW Program:

  1. Read 2013 MSW Application Instructions
  2. Download and complete Fall 2013 MSW Application
  3. Download and complete Fall 2013 Statements of Purpose
  4. Download and complete Verification Letter(s)
  5. Download and complete three Letters of Reference
