Recognizing and Preventing Postpartum Depression and Anxiety

Recognizing and Preventing Postpartum Depression and Anxiety

Sponsor:
This event is co-hosted by SF State’s Department of Counseling, School of Nursing and School of Social Work.
What:
I hope you’ll join me on October 24th or October 25th to learn about postpartum depression from SF State Alumna Shoshana Bennett. Postpartum depression, considered to be the most under-diagnosed complication of childbearing, impacts not just mothers, but the whole family unit include partners and children. A leading maternal mental health expert and clinical psychologist, Dr. Shosh’s talk will be informative and provide you skills to use in your work. Dr. Shosh’s talk, “Recognizing and Preventing Postpartum Depression and Anxiety,” will focus on identifying and helping both those suffering from postpartum depression as well as ways to support impacted family members. Plus, attending this lecture and discussion will earn you two CEU credits.
