Morty Diamond, MSW, LCSW

Biography

Morty Diamond has 16 years of experience in the field of social work, with specializations in HIV/AIDS care and LGBTQ+ health. Prior to joining the faculty in the School of Social Work Morty was a program manager at the San Francisco AIDS Foundation. Morty has published two books on trans health and will publish a book on LGBTQ+ divorce in November 2026.

Morty holds a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology from University of California, Berkeley and holds a Masters in Social Work from San Francisco State University. He is also a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a small private practice.
