Ms. Ricka L. White-Soso to Speak on Mental Health in Recognition of Black History Month

Ms. Ricka L. White-Soso, MSW, LCSW — a lecturer and SF State alumna (MSW, '99), will be a mental health panelist at the Hope Is On The Horizon Health Fair on Saturday, February 18, 2023, 9 a.m. - 3 p.m., at the Calvary Hill Community Church, San Francisco. This is a free event which is being hosted by the San Francisco Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. in collaboration with sister chapters, Berkeley Bay Area Alumnae, Contra Costa Alumnae, and Oakland East Bay Alumnae, in recognition of Black History Month and American Heart Month. The program is focused on “Mind, Body, Soul and Mental Wellness”. This event will include a mental health panel with mental health therapist and clergy, workshops about chronic health conditions, giveaways, wellness activities, and more. Families and members of the community are invited to attend.

Ms. White-Soso is a proud life member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. which she joined as an undergraduate psychology student at San Francisco State University. She is currently an alumnae member of Oakland East Bay Alumnae Chapter.

With her extensive work history evolving to now providing services as a mental health clinician in private practice, Ms. Ricka will be adding to the conversation about wellness from her experience and knowledge. The Hope Is On The Horizon Health Fair is focused on “Mind, Body, Soul and Mental Wellness” which is in line with her practice’s goal to “lead people to-LIVE WELL- mind, body, and spirit”.
