Biography

As a proud San Francisco native and alumna of San Francisco State University’s School of Social Work, Celina has spent her career rooted in service to the community where she grew up.  After earning her MSW and PPSC through the Title IV-E program in 2017, she spent almost eight years with the San Francisco Human Services Agency Family and Children’s Services, primarily working in the bilingual Family Services Unit. During that time, she also mentored and supervised MSW interns from the Title IV-E program, as well as undergraduate and high school students interested in the field of social work. In 2022, she became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), expanding her ability to support individuals and families through advanced clinical practice.

In 2025, Celina returned to her alma mater as the School of Social Work’s Practicum Education Coordinator. In this new role, she’s come full circle now supports MSW students through the same practicum journey that once shaped her own. Celina remains deeply committed to preparing the next generation of social workers with the values, skills, and heart to serve their communities.
