Katharine Berg, M.P.A.
Biography
Katharine’s 20+ year career in frontline Bay Area social services (gender-based violence, substance use, mental health, housing and homelessness) combines programmatic, operational, and resource development experience with a passion to replace cycles of violence and vulnerability with hope, joy and equitable access to critical resources. Currently, she is Executive Director of Rally Family Visitation Services, a tri-county project of UCSF Health Hyde Hospital that prioritizes safety and connection for kids with separated parents in high-risk, high conflict, and low-income families. Katharine earned her Master's in Public Administration from San Francisco State University as well as a Baccalaureate in Criminal Justice and Psychology. Her interests include relentless incremental improvement, intersectional analysis, elimination of gender bias, discrimination, and violence, criminal justice reform, public education, associative democracy, travel, painting, running, reading, raising two kids in a vibrant city, and community.
