Valetta Molofsky, Ph.D., MSW, PPSC, ACSW
Biography
As a first-generation graduate, Dr. Valetta Molofsky is dedicated to promoting transformative change for underserved and undersourced populations, with a central focus on addressing cultural starvation, identity fracture, code-switching, hidden trauma, upward mobility, and the Anti-Literacy laws of the 1800s. She is deeply committed to service, as evidenced by her mentoring of youth and college students toward academic achievement and personal growth. Her work extends to non-profits, grassroots initiatives, board leadership, Indigenous organizations, education, and pop-ups that aim to improve community members' quality of life. Alongside her professional and academic pursuits, she balances spiritual and cultural practices and motherhood. Dr. Molofsky holds a bachelor's in psychology, a master's in social work, and is completing her PhD manuscript in Integrative Social Work and Africana Global Studies. She studied abroad in Africa and continues to engage with communities globally to increase cultural understanding by applying the CSWE competencies and NASW ethical values.
